Prints from Fan Expo 2012

I don’t usually spend a lot of money at conventions like Fan Expo but this year, I decided to live a little and get some prints for the office.

The first is a nifty little piece by Michael Cho. You can get a better look at it here.

And the other print I picked up was this sweet Gremlins 2: The New Batch poster by Phantom City Creative that they did for Mondo. It’s a great poster though I will say that it could use a lot more Phoebe Cates although I guess you could say that about almost everything. That Kevin Kline is a straight-up BOSS!!

I also picked up a great Gremlins 2 poster by @PhantomCityCrtv Hoping for a Phoebe Cates poster in the future

They also had a $120 Cabin In The Woods poster that I was so close to getting but I stupidly chose to get food instead. Boy, I’m going to regret that one.

My Accidental Cosplay for Today Is…

The late Steve Irwin a.k.a. The Crocodile Hunter!

Xerxes vs. Crocodile Hunter

It’s a very weird “Who wore it best?”

I really have to start remembering to check the mirror before I dash out of the house in the mornings.

As an aside, did you know that movie poster legend Drew Struzan painted, not one, but two posters for Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course? And that Drew recently came out of retirement to release posters through Mondo? And if you’re looking for an excellent gift for me…hint hint

This was all just an elaborate ruse to convince someone out there to get me one of those posters.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to check Missed Connections to see if anyone was looking for an Asian guy dressed like the Crocodile Hunter.
